A brief review of our last gig at The Tropic at Ruislip
It was a pretty good crowd at The tropic on Sunday, there was a good buzz around the room as we awaited the arrival on stage of “Long Road Home”. Many of those in the audience had previously been fans of “Storm Warning” and were keen to see the (and hear!) the next venture of Derek & Ian, previous stalwarts of SW.
We were certainly not disappointed; the band were great, fantastic songs, really well played and they really looked like they were enjoying themselves, which I was told afterwards that they were!
So, after a good hour and a half of hard rockin’, bluesy tunes, I left the Tropic eagerly awaiting their debut album which I understand is due out soon.
I urge you to check out “Long Road Home” live when you can, it was really refreshing to hear a new band with traditional rock roots but with a modern twist.
