Long Road Home is a song based rock band, whose music is drenched in the blues and with shades of prog. The band’s influences can be traced back to the emergence of the British Blues scene, the 70’s and beyond, through subsequent related genres, which continue up to the present day. Influences include bands and artists such as; Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Focus, Gary Moore, Robin Trower and Joe Bonamassa.

The band formed in 2022, from the ashes of two highly promising musical projects; Storm Warning, a fine live band, well known throughout the UK and Europe for their powerful arrangements and five highly rated albums, and Rien de Faire, a keyboards based, pop/blues outfit, writing harmonically complex songs with sophisticated arrangements.

Long Road Home’s music builds on these different approaches to create a unique sound. The band has produced a high-quality, rock-blues centric, debut album, ‘Are We Invisible?’ Very much in the modern blues rock idiom, and with shades of progressive and classic rock adding spice to the mix. The net result has been described as Rock Solid Blues!

Mike Sebbage (Vocals & percussion) has worked with such luminaries as Keith Emerson, and members of Uriah Heep and Thunder. Former session guitarist Steve Summers (Guitars) has led his own eponymously named Blues-Rock power trio since 2010, and produced 2 critically acclaimed albums in that time. Derek White (Bass) and Ian Salisbury (Keys) are well travelled blues musicians, both being founder members of UK blues rock band Storm Warning, and being part of Larry Miller’s band for several years. Derek and Ian have also played in Bernie Marsden’s band and with many other musicians of note.

In January 2023, following unforeseen personal circumstances, original drummer Dave Norman was replaced by another old pal, Lee Morrell. Lee’s driving style and big sound fitted perfectly with the band’s powerful live set, “Long Road Home” are definitely living up to their strap-line “Rock-Solid Blues”! Lee has previously worked with Midge Ure, Boy George and toured extensively with various rock and punk bands.
